Asbis Romania, together with Microsoft, have launched today their brand new Prestigio tablet running Windows 8.1. The event took place at Microsoft Romania's offices in Bucharest, Romania. Together with our strategic partner HTSS we were invited to talk about our experience developing the Sales Force Automation solution on the Prestigio tablet. Today's launch was all about a tablet positioned as a device dedicated to business users, a device that could provide and excellent base for modern line of business application built on the Microsoft technology stack. The photo from the event shows our colleague Ciprian Jichici performing a demo on the Prestigio tablet.
Several interesting points about the SFA solution were highlighted:
- The support for typical SFA concepts: routes, visits, locations, orders, collects, bank deposits
- The implementation of the Occasionally Connected pattern which enables sales agents to work even if they are not in an area covered by 3G/4G connectivity
- Use of our brand new Data SDK for Windows Store Apps
- The ability to have full synchronization with SQL Server (both on-premises and in the cloud)
